The Art of Resistance
Most of the times, I feel the world is so big, and I am so small, what can I do? Well, I can paint. And with that, I can push you out of pleasant, peaceful, painted pictures and dare you to not feel so small either. Sometimes, things happen in the world, and they cannot be ignored. As an awakening artist, I feel a responsibility to visually shout out “we cannot ignore this!” I dare you to not ignore this amazing crazy world around us. I call you out of your numbed up, automated, happy land to remind you “we cannot ignore this!”
We cannot ignore that all life is precious. Life is a gift we have no right to squander. We have no right to apathy especially when young lives are stolen; murdered in a club, murdered in a war, murdered for vendetta, drowned at sea, left to die in a poisoned environment.
As small as I sometimes feel, I still believe many small actions can create something big.
We cannot ignore this.
