Heart and Soul

“Heart and Soul” is a pastel pencil sketch pet portrait. I was commissioned to create this as a gift for a special employee who recently retired. These are two of her pets. As they are her heart and soul, I felt this woman was also a large part of the heart and soul of the place she dedicated so many years to.

Suzanne V Paddock

Paddock is a contemporary oil painter working in an expressive style. She focuses on narrative themes, layering her work with emotional discoveries and universal connections. Over the years her work has been accepted into several judged and juried shows across the country, and honored with awards on four separate occasions. Paddock has a public studio at Bower Center for the Arts, in Bedford, VA where visitors are welcome.
